“Line in use” error

Please see the following for common ways to resolve this error:

  • If you are using a multi-handset cordless telephone, ensure all handsets are hung up
  • Try a different telephone with a different telephone cable
  • Disconnect the magicJack device and try it in the opposite configuration option (move a computer-connected device to the router, or router-connected device to the computer)
  • Try a different USB port on the computer
